Pollux:Duh.This reminded me of those Asians movies where there is little girls killing REAL animals.
Lena:Believe it or no, bro, Midori is made with pixels and most of time, the main character is wishing to have such merciful fate as her doggies.
Guro charm=pick up a character (most of time a young girl, but in hardcore yaoi, the sex changes, obviously) with strong morals and ideals.Then...just tear her/him apart. It can be made literally but it's far more tasty if it's symbolic first and that comes a bit later. In this movie, by example, Midori comes back to her house after a long and tiresome day, to talk with her ill mother about how thanks to a gentleman who paid for all her flowers, she can go to shool, finally.Then she notices that her mother doesn't seems to hear such good news.She drew back the sheets to found out that rats ate her mother alive and are still biting the dead flesh.
Animation isn't a goody, but since the creator went through several troubles to get the movie done, it's has certain weight as a piece of artwork from this gen.Music has something, specially the song at the ending, deeply related with Midori's ultimate fate, uncertain and yet probably miserable as her delusion.It's hard to find a moral message in this kind of story, but I guess that you can made out one as Pollux did:Never.Bother.A.Dwarf.Particularly not to a magical one.
Midori is the best attraction.Her character was mistreated several times and (she believes that)abandoned for the one she loved most.Even then, it's not possible for her to hate these people who has tortured her.She's just hurt and that's what makes her beautiful.This innocence punished with not a point but showing that nothing is forgiven, not even this, which seems to be sacred for so many.The main reason for eroguro to have so many haters xD
